interview, which lasted a little over ten minutes, quickly descended into a perverted game of "fuck, kill, marry." (Giuliani does not want to fuck Ron Paul.)
"I don't get it," he said about the young contingent of voters who still support Ron Paul, Giuliani's old political foe. "I just think they tune out, or they don't understand, or they weren't educated properly.
"I think he's a kook," he admitted. "I think he's a kook, I do." Paul's politics clash strongly with Giuliani's, because Paul had said multiple times that if he'd been president, 3,000 people who died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks would still be alive. Giuliani, if you remember, was the city's mayor at the time. He took the veiled insults to heart.
"His views on 9/11, to me, are horrifying," Giuliani said. "I don't understand how people support him. Some of the things he says are, to me, the product of a cranky old man." He went even further, calling Paul taking part in the Republican debates "a total distraction."
He next took a brief moment to talk about Mitt Romney, whom the Republican Party officially nominated as their presidential candidate yesterday at the RNC. Giuliani glossed over Romney's long, celebrated history of moral and political versatility by referring to the nominee as a "pragmatic businessman," who was still better for the country than President Obama.
"President Obama came to the office with very little very experience, in my view, but a very extreme ideology. He was the most partisan member of the United States Senate. People ignore that."
To Giuliani, President Obama is the quintessential liberal, even going as far to say that the president's history as a community activist may have made him anti-American. Mercifully, one of the Daily Beast anchors walked him back.
"You don't think he's anti-American."
"Well, I don't know what he is," Giuliani answered. When the ex-mayor was asked if Obama was socialist, Giuliani said, "I would never say that. What I would say is that he seems to like European socialist democracies more than our capitalist system."
The Daily Beast ended the interview with a question about Missouri congressman Todd Akin, who last week gloriously hypothesized that the woman's body, when "legitimately" raped and impregnated from said rape, "has ways to try to shut that whole thing down."
"What does he do for a living besides being a politician?" Giuliani asked. "Is he a lawyer, is he a teacher? He should go do that."

ReplyDeleteHe wonders if the young people where not educated properly? Does he want to "reeducate" them? He is the one who needs to be reeducated. Him and all his neocon and neolib buddies. It is really quite simple, READ the Constitution! READ the founders! You will find out EXACTLY what they meant when they wrote it! More and more, I have major paradigm shift in my opinions of things. I used to think that schools like Berkeley were these bastions of INSANE Liberal dogma, but after seeing the support Dr. Paul received there, I don't quite think so anymore. People of intellect and wisdom (not saying I am either, but like to think so) do that. They KEEP thinking and when they hear someone say something, they research it and find the TRUTH. When you live by what someone told you and you don't check the facts and you never question it again, that makes you a fool, doesn't it?
