Ron Paul To Headline Texas GOP Convention

KXAN | Josh Hinkle | May 18, 2012
Though he has stepped away from actively campaigning, U.S. Rep. Ron Paul – the lone Texan left in the Republican race for the White House – will headline the state's GOP
convention in Fort Worth this summer.

During the first day of the event – June 7 – Paul will be featured during a breakout session titled “Uniting Republicans and Balancing the Federal Budget.”

“His breakout session will undoubtedly be one of the most highly attended special events during the three-day convention, and I know many of our delegates will be interested in hearing about his principled approach to shrinking the size of our federal government from such a major national figure in our party,” said Texas GOP Chairman Steve Munisteri in a statement.

Rick Santorum – who bowed out of the GOP presidential contest last month – will also speak at the convention, though his portion of the weekend will be closed to the public.

  1. Ron Paul can still win Texas and California. Just because he isn't spending Millions on TV ads doesn't mean he isn't campaigning. Ron pauls organization is grassroots, not mainstream media. Ron Paul 2012!

  2. MAY RON PAUL WIN THIS ELECTION!!!!! He is definitely the best candidate to run this country. How can we make this happen? Is their any way it can, at this point, get turned around to get Romney defeated and Ron Paul elected? Let's all pray to God to make this happen. Our prayers may work wonders!!!
