TSA Screeners Charged in L.A. Drug Trafficking Probe

Well, well, well. Look at what happened today, folks. The mighty TSA, without which we would certainly be bombed and terrorized into oblivion, appears to be not so mighty

after all.

Reports are out today that two former and two current TSA employees were accused of allowing large amounts of cocaine and other illegal drugs to pass through X-ray machines at security checkpoints. Even worse, this was no accident or mistake. The employees allegedly received large amounts of cash for their "oversight", according to authorities.

In all, the indictment included five incidents where the employees took payments of up to $2,400 to provide drug traffickers open access to Los Angeles International Airport over a six-month period last year. Four employees were involved, and face a minimum of 10 years in federal prison for their crimes.

So the question is, how long will it take the Obama administration to create a NEW government administration to monitor the TSA? Clearly, they are now proven to be vulnerable to corruption and bribery, so there is no reason to think that a terrorist offering substantially more money might be able to gain unfettered access as well, right?

The bottom line is that we are completely brainwashed into thinking that we need the government to protest us, period. There are risks to everything we do in life, and people will make mistakes. The government is no better able to protect us them any other entity, and in fact, it is much worse because at the end of the day it is not liable for any negligence. In the meantime, more and more of our liberties are swept away in the name of safety! Enough is enough! Vote Ron Paul and stop this madness!
