Ron Paul may have given up active campaigning for the presidency, but he's still raking in some serious cash.
The Texas congressman, who has acknowledged he won't have enough delegates for the Republican nomination, raised about $1.8 million in May, according to his most recent campaign-finance report. He has about $3.3 million cash on hand.
Paul said in mid-May that he would no longer spend money to compete in primaries. Mitt Romney went over the 1,144 delegates needed for the GOP nod on May 29, when Texas and other states held primaries.
All told, Paul has raised $39.5 million for the 2012 presidential campaign -- outpacing his own 2008 haul.
